Bragging

I just need to brag one eensy teensy bit. Jeff is an AMAZING Dad! I have never seen anyone as much in love as he loves his little girl. He was in the nursery today and after he bathed her, changed her diaper, dressed her, and swaddled her to perfection he puts her in her crib and then says loudly 'i just love her so much!' and then realizing he may have said it a little too loudly we both just started laughing. It's been a great experience learning how to take care of Stella together. I feel we make a good team. Jeff keeps telling me that I am doing a great job, but it's really because he is doing a great job himself. During the labor and delivery I wasn't in the best of spirits, but he never left my side. He didn't sleep a wink and he never wanted to leave to get any meals. His sole focus was the 'two girls in his life'.  There have been many MANY more little things that Jeff has done and too many to count, but Stella is one lucky girl to have a Dad that loves her so much and would do anything for her. I love you Jeff. You are an amazing person.

Welcome Stella! We love you!

I don't know how people post so many pictures. It was really hard for me to get the computer just to do these. Here's some cute ones of our precious Stella whom I adore.

Another Update

Hello! I don't know if you all have the most recent update. I don't like posting on facebook as I am friends with a lot of co-workers so the blog is easier and a little more private. Here is what is happening with the Adams and baby Stella/Isla.

Week 34 appointment my doc scares me by saying the baby is breech and that if she doesn't flip Doc will need to schedule an ECV procedure where they push on your tummy and manually try and flip the baby. She informs me this is painful and she would do it at week 38.

The next few days are miserable as I feel really nauseous and my kidneys hurt really bad not to mention that I am freaking out thinking that I will need to have this procedure done at 38 weeks and I am scheduled to work!

Due to the pain I think I have a kidney infection so I call the doc and she has me come right in. She tells me everything is fine, but the one difference is the baby has flipped and is now head down and possibly that caused the pain in my kidneys and the nausea.

So, cool. Baby head down, no kidney infection, everything shall proceed as normal and I can go back to work.

Week 37 check up the doc notices that the baby's head is now under my rib cage. I have been having a really hard time breathing lately and shooting pains really low under by belly button. I think she's kicking me and it literally makes my legs give out underneath me if I am walking. Now were back to where we were before. Baby is breech and needs to flip. Doc says at my next appointment Sept 5th, if baby has flipped they'll induce me, but I know the night before as I feel her head under my rib cage that that is not going to happen.

Sept 5th baby is still breech. Doc schedules me for ECV on Sept 10th. This means that if they get her flipped they'll induce me and I'll have the baby. If they can't move her then it's a C-section. (sarcastic hooray!) and I have the baby.

So either way our child will be joining us on Sept 10th. I have to go in Sunday to get blood drawn for the procedure and then I report to labor and delivery at 6am on Monday morning.

That is what has taken place in the last few weeks and I can't tell you how stressed I have been. It's so hard to figure out what to do with work when your doc tells you that you might have your kid two weeks early! As of now I have been on maternity leave since August 30th. My house is spick and span,  my bags packed, and the refrigerator stocked with food. Today I slept until 11 (don't judge me, I was up late too) and I still got all my errands done, took a nice shower, and cooked some brownies and dinner. I cannot believe how much time there is in the day to get things done. Now if I can only convince Jeff to take me to the cabin one last time before the season ends I will be officially relaxed!

Seriously?!

It's 12:30 in the morning and I have my hips propped up on a pillow trying to ensure the baby has every opportunity to flip. It really doesn't help with the constant indigestion and I keep throwing up in my mouth. TMI? Well this is really for me to read when I start to consider doing this again. It has been one horrible thing after the other and I gave r even delivered the baby yet. I am ging to try and get some sleep.... That would be a first! I thought the sleepless nights came after the baby was delivered!
