5 years BABY!

To celebrate five years of doing that thing where you live with the person and don't see anyone else . . We went and stayed in the Venetian for a few days and it was the best thing ever! Right from the beginning we were having fun because we took the camaro and went 100 mph the whole time. When we arrived we checked in and our hotel was AWESOME! I want to LIVE there. Or maybe I just like anything European? Whatever it is I LOVED it and we got to see Phantom of the Opera. It was all right. . . .
Still . . . love Phantom. Love Camaro. Love Gerard Butler ( just throwing that out there ) Love Vacations. . . . that is all.

Continued from April's Blog

I'm stuck up in the bedroom for private reasons and have nothing else to do. So I read April's blog and she had posted some awesome memories of the parents and I thought I might add to her post:

To my mom and Dad, Thank you:
For never getting angry when we crashed the car
For doing the Donald Duck sneeze.
For jumping on the table and dancing in the kitchen.
For only spanking me once, when I stole the candy canes.
For the Saturday afternoon chores that ended up in water fights.
For rescuing me from bullies, even when I asked you not to.
For grounding me when I hid my report card.
For moving me down to Orem then moving me back, then back down to Orem and back home, then to my apartment and then to my house.
For all the 7-UP's you brought me when I was sick.
For all the late night phone calls I made from sleepovers.
For the cold lunch's you made everyday (even though I only ate the brownie and threw the rest away)
For trusting me to make the right decisions for myself.
For accepting who I am and encouraging me to follow my dreams.
For all the awesome birthday parties.

And to my sis's, here's to:

To Autumn for hiding under the bed and ignoring me while I called for over an hour.
To April for being the star in all my movies, you are quite the actress.
To Heather for teaching me you can still drive a stick shift in heels.
To tag teaming dad (I think we can take him now)
To Sleeping under the Christmas tree.
To Jesse, the best black lab in the world.
To driving crazy in the back of Grandpa's van.
To Cancun: Autumn barfing in the hotel, April barfing in the alley, and Heather laying in the gutter when she got left on an island.
To many more adventures to come with our own kids.

Apparrently

we have an earlier bed time now. Since day light savings Jeff can't make it to ten o'clock without falling asleep. He was out at 8:30 on my birthday.
Also, check out this
It's what Jen and I have been working on.

Bored . . . .

and I wanted to post something. Even though nobody ever reads this it sometimes gives me something to do and I like to go back and read what I wrote. It's almost like a journal.
Well summer is over and I am LOVING the fall weather. I say every year that I plan to do everything I can this winter, Sledding, playing in the snow, snowmobiling, ice skating but it NEVER happens.
Well this year is going to be different! I want to do everything I can this year.
Jeff and I are as busy as ever. We never do anything but work or fulfill our responsibilities. What I mean by that is we either work our full time job or our side job or it's church callings. I tell you I hate it. I feel like all I ever do is what I don't want to do. I hate being grown up. I always said I wanted to avoid growing up as long as possible and then die young so that at least gives me something to look forward to. . . death.
Wow! Just read the last few sentences and that was depressing! I'm not depressed just . . . bugged. About life. About stupid stupid responsibilities. About spiders. . . who do they think they are waltzing into my bathroom and scaring me in my shower. . .?

Another wedding

Here is the latest wedding. I really like editing to this music. It's more of a cinematic feel than usual country music that I edit to.

Poor Jeff

I can't help it. If I stay home for too long I get really bad anxiety and need to get out and do something or else I feel like my life is wasting away. So yesterday (after a long hard day on Saturday working on the bathroom) I forced Jeff to drive us to the cabin. He loaded up the four wheeler, I checked the weather, and we left at 11 to spend the day at the cabin. We got there at 1:30 because we stopped a couple times and unfortunately it was raining and had been raining for a while. Still, we weren't going to let that stop us. We put on our sweatshirts (it was 48 degrees) and then our parkas. Then our hoodies and gloves. We hopped on the four wheeler and five minutes in we were soaked through from wet gooey mud. It seriously was the funnest thing ever. We were so dirty we decided to forget about trying to stay clean and Jeff just kept plowing through the giant muddy puddles. We were sliding all over the place and I could barely stay on the four wheeler cause we were so wet my feet wouldn't grip. We only stayed about an hour and a half, but it was still worth it.
I love spending time with Jeff, it's my favorite thing to do and makes me really happy. This morning I came in just before I left for work and Jeff is usually asleep, but he rolled over because he was going to get up and said 'shoot me!'
He sounded so desperate I couldn't help laugh. So sad Jeff and I aren't morning people.

Insane on the Accu-tane!

Not really, but this stuff is harsh! I've been taking a dose every day for three weeks and my face is falling apart. I look like some zombie monster that's been dead for a couple of years, just rose from the grave and has to go to work without frightening all it's co-workers. I refuse to leave the house and Jeff gets mad at me because I turn all the lights off in the house. I might as well be a vampire. So zombie/vampire. That's what Accutane has turned me into.
On a lighter note, two weddings coming up in sept. Can't wait.
Jeff decided to rip out our master bathroom and that's been a fabulous adventure. I swear, once we get one project done he has to move onto another. I can't take it anymore. If he doesn't finish his house projects soon I'm going to suck his blood and eat his brains (because that's what Zombie's and Vampires do).
In the process of ripping out the tile that was cemented in, there's dust covering EVERYTHING in our bedroom. And guess how many times I cleaned the kitchen yesterday? THREE! I feel like all I ever do is clean!
Which by the way, Jeffrey and I have had an ongoing argument for probably the last three years and maybe my family members nad loved ones can help us sort it out.
Jeff thinks it's necessary to leave at least two pairs of shoes in the middle of the kitchen floor. He says that way he can slip them on when he walks out the door. I don't agree. He can have ONE pair of shoes and they can be put aside next to the door, but I've counted up to FIVE pairs of shoes right in the middle of the floor before!
Who's right? Who's wrong? Let it be known that our fate is in your hands (and if you don't side with me I'll suck your blood and eat your brains)
Happy Wednesday to you all!

Please vote as many times as you want, even if you don't know me and want to vote, DO IT!

Is Twilight bad for your love life?

There was an article titled the above on Yahoo today that really bothered me. I'm a big fan of Twilight (except for the last book) and I really was entertained, but I really think that the article had a point. to read click here.
The reason why i am posting about this is because it's something that I've struggled with my entire life and still struggle with today.
I was never what I thought 'a sappy girl' who loved to play house, wear make-up, and go shopping. It seemed like a big waste of time to me and the girls always seemed a little . . . well . . . dumb. Whenever a girl sat and talked about her shoes I thought to myself 'and guys really enjoy being around this stuff?'
I think I am getting alittle off subject here, but the point is the article was claiming the book influences young girls to be dependent on relationships. Making them NOT independent and I aboslutely agree. I've fought my entire life against this sterotype always wanting to do things that peopel said I couldn't do. I can't tell you how many times people think I have a low IQ just because of my hair color, or they don't think I know anything because I am a girl.
But how many girls are out there contradicting this?
I get so sick and tired of reading people's blogs (then stop reading them I know) and they're about a girl who was married at 19, has two kids, and lives to serve her husband and children. I know there is nothing wrong with that, but I think women should have oustide interests too. Have things in life that are just for them so that when their kids leave they don't turn into the ward gossip because they don't have anything better to do. This is just my opinon so don't think i have anything against being a mom. I just think women take the easy road out a lot of the time because they are enabled by those around them. If women were forced to step up and take care of things for themselves I think they would surprise not only the people around them, but themselves as well. You'd be surprised what you're capable of when pushed. . . . but a lot of women don't do it. Sad. . . if our ancestors who fought for women's rights could see us now.

Fun and Lazy weekend

Jeff and I went to Jay and Nicole's wedding reception and they looked so happy, their wedding was very pretty and they had such cute pictures. We met up with Spence and his date and afterward we went to Dairy Keen marking this the third meal in a row that Jeff had had a hamburger. I couldn't do another burger, I had onion rings. Spence and Kristen then went to G.I. Joe and Jeff and I went to best buy to see if we could find a DVD. They had their 3.99 bin so we ended up buying SIX!
We pulled into the neighborhood with our stuff only to find someone parked in front of our house. It turned out to be Autumn and Erik sneaking around and leaving us a note. They ended up staying for a little bit and even picked me up some dinner and Jeff a shake. Then by ten-thirty Jeff was off to bed so Autie, Erik and I watched the movie until about eleven fifteen and then they were outta there. So that left me, to finish the movie all by myself. Why does this always happen?
Saturday we were working on the house (Jeff painting, myself cleaning) and I got a text. My cousin had gotten his mission call. So we were off to Alpine with the family to watch him open it. Everyone speculated on where he would go, I video taped him opening his call while his dad snapped some stills. Sean's going to LA!
Afterward we picked up some Chili's and went home to relax and watch a movie only to have April call me up. She and her husband headed over and we hung out for a bit. Jeff drank a little bit of a red bull (which he says you can feel it eating the enamel off your teeth) then played Eric in a game of foosball (sp?)
Then we made April and Eric watch the ninja episode of south park. I don't think they much cared for it, they left after that. Then it was off to bed! Boy my Jeffy sure loves to go to bed early!

Happy Birthday Jeffy!

July 29th 2009 Jeffrey David Adams turned 28!
In celebration of this wondrous achievement we had Sunday birthday cake at my grandparents house. Jeff got a couple Blu-Rays and a caramel apple that he was so kind enough to share with me. Thanks everyone for all the presents!
On Wednesday we went to dinner at Maccaroni Grill with Jeff's family then we came back and had cake.
I really wish I would remember to take my camera to these events, then I could populate my blog with pictures which I know is the only reason people look at blogs. However, just for fun I would like to mention a few things that make Jeff Jeff and why I love him so much:

- He can make me laugh and he tries really hard to do that every day
- He has no talent at doing impersonations at all, but that doesn't stop him from attempting. His current favorites are Seinfeld and Rocky.
- He never misses a day of work EVER! I wish I had co-workers that dependable.
- He argues with me. Although I don't really appreciate this it DOES keep me humble.
- He's the smartest guy I know, but is really humble about it.
- He disects movies with me. Who else can I watch a horrible movie with and have the time of my life? One movie in particular. . . the wicker man.
- His subtle way of getting me to do things. Example: He sits on the couch repeatedly saying 'we need to do laundry' until I finally get up and do it for him.
- The love for his personal shadow Rowdy who follows him around the house wherever Jeff goes.
- The rap's we make up in the car. We haven't done this in a while, but I like it when he uses the word 'ho'. It cracks me up.

Jeffrey. Love of my life. You're the biggest weirdo in the world and I wouldn't have it any other way. Hope you had a great birthday and remember mine is three months away. BETTER GET PLANNING! ; )

Poor Dairy Queen Employees

We all know Dad's story about Dairy queen and I know Dad didn't go this far, but why do people have such grudges against Dairy Queen!?

SANDY -- Police cited a Dairy Queen customer after he got upset over the thickness of his milk shake.

The 48-year-old man went through the drive-through at the Dairy Queen on 9300 South at 1300 East in Sandy and ordered a shake. Apparently he thought it was just too thick. He went back into the store to ask for a thinner one.

The Salt Lake Tribune reports the same 16-year-old who made the first shake made another for the man, but it was still too thick for him.

Police say he threw the shake at the employee, hitting him in the chest, then left. Other workers and Dairy Queen customers wrote down the license plate number of the man's car as he drove off.

Police tracked him down and cited him with simple assault. Police told the Tribune the man admitted he overreacted.

As you can see. . . .

I've been pretty busy with weddings. I got a call from Jackie the other day and Lance is going to have me do his wedding video. I'm super psyched and I will try to do the best job ever, but I know it's going to be hard because. . . . . Lance is like 7 feet tall! I swear these tall grooms kill me. By the end of the day I can barely lift my arm.
I'm so excited for this weekend because it'll be the first weekend I've been home in a long time. Because it's a holiday and there's no work we felt like we needed to make plans, but we're both done with being gone so we decided to have a nice relaxing weekend at home and getting things done around the house. Jeff plans to organize the office! This is how thrilling we are . . . . I'm excited about staying home and organizing our office.
Still, I do plan to see Harry Potter on Saturday and Jeffy's taking me to Red Lobster tonight, wahoo! Snow crab and lobster. YUMMY!
When we were in Hawaii we ate such good lobster. He was delicious. . . . I remember I took a picture of him and named him Hank. . . . I won't forget Hank. . . the delicious lobster from Hawaii.
Anyways, if any of you people out there know of someone getting married, send em' my way. I love to edit!

Another one!

4th of July

Abso-freaking-nothing has been going on lately, but yet I'm the busiest I have ever been in my life, it's just not with stuff that I want to blog about.
For the 4th of July we did go to our cabin and stay the night, but we still wanted to see fireworks. So we were off to town around 8:30 to see the show. We pull into the area that they're supposed to be and I get way sick (like WAY sick) and finally I just had to bail. I jumped out of the car pretty much while it was still moving and ran to the bathroom. When I came back I was informed that the fireman had just walked past our caravan (my dad and Jeff's trucks) and said we were in the right spot for fireworks.
So there we are on the tail gates, just chilling minding our own business when POP!
The fireworks take off 40 yards away from us (not embelishing) and they didn't go straight up. . . NOPE. . . they went straight at us.
We all took off running and I saw massive fireworks popping in the road just feet in front of the trucks. Needless to say I was pretty ticked that they would light fireworks off that close to us, but then it was really neat. I literally had to look straight up in the air to watch the fireworks.
I don't think it was the safest thing, but when you see the fireworks are exploding right above and you feeling like they're raining on you (turns out it was just the ash) it's a pretty cool feeling.

When Spiders Attack!

(I chose this picture because the spider looks like he's smiling evily)

So it's been a week and I've been complaining to jeff about this area on my lower back that is itchy. It has multiple bumps that look similar to welts and when I scratch I have to be careful cause they're very painful. Yesterday I made Jeff take a closer look and with the help of his mom he made a diagnosis. I've been attacked by a spider.
He said it looked like the spider just bit me ten times across the back and then there's one random welt on my left side and then nothing.
All I can say is EW! If I see any spiders anywhere I'm going to have vengeance! I'll take out his family first, maybe trap them in a jar and put in a cotton ball soaked with alcohol so he can watch them die. Then when he comes after me again I'll be ready and it'll be intense. It'll have gotten personal, but in the end justice will prevail!

It has happened. All of you know, but still here are pics that I love to show!
Thanks Mike for taking them. Thanks world for being so awesome that the camaro could exist and I could own one.

Cupcakes, Rings & Other Things

I've been looking for an excuse to make some fun & fancy cupcakes and a co-workers birthday came just in time. I enlisted my mom's help and we figured out how to make some cute cupcakes. It also gave me an excuse to buy the cupcake stand.
Really deep down I just knew it was Aunt Jenn's b-day and although she wasn't here if I made cupcakes in her honor it would be enough. ; )

I've been hassling Jeff that our five year anniversary is coming up in December and of course doing what I do best, obsessing. I would send him emails of the ring that I wanted as an anniversary present just so he'd have plenty of time. We were at the mall and he asked if I wanted to look just for fun and see if they had something I liked.
Turns out they did! (I promised not to wear it until our anniversary)

So. . . . . . .

When Jeff and I bought the Camaro and they told us they needed to keep it for 30 days I thought 'wow! that's perfect for us!' because I still had my Acura and needed to sell it so that would give us 30 days to sell it.
The next day I posted it on KSL. An hour later a sweet girl called and that night she came to look at it. The following morning she called to let me know she wanted it.Saturday she came to pick it up, but didn't take it until Monday morning. Needless to say, I am without a vehicle for 30 days. And this was me this morning on my way to work:

Well not exactly, but you get the idea. I have to Pack a backpack with my work clothes and ride my bike to work everyday until the camaro gets here. All I am hoping is that it'll reduce my middle! Seriously though, my legs were burning when I walked into work all sweaty and disgusting, but oh well! It was kinda fun to ride my bike to work.

Dream Come True

So I have been holding out to post about this because jeff didn't want to tell anybody just yet, but I guess yesterday he told his mom and dad so it's safe. Two days ago Jeff and I signed the papers and made it official. WE BOUGHT A CAMARO!
It turns out that my obsessiveness really does pay off! After searching and looking and going to the dealership a bunch of times it really looked like we wouldn't be able to get one. As it turns out I emailed (thinking it wouldn't do anything) the dealership asking if the camaro they were advertising online really was for sale. I guess half the people at the dealership didn't know they could sell it and I just so happened to talk to the right person. After a long day at work for Jeff, I hauled him to the dealership where we were informed of our very rare situation. We basically had to decide right then and there because the camaros are so rare it probably wouldn't be there the next day. Unfortunately we have to wait 30 days to take it home because they want it on the showroom floor. So if you want to see my Camaro go to the Jerry Seiner dealership in Salt Lake. Below are pictures someone posted on KSL, but it's the exact same Camaro I'm getting EXACTLY. So here they are!

The Joy's of being a Homeowner

Jeff and I have been in our house for almost three years. We've ever been improving on our home since we moved in, trying to make it more of 'our house' than the previous owners. We've done multiple paint jobs, refurnished the hard wood floors, painted cabinets, re-carpeted, tiled, new cabinets in our bathroom and many many little things more.
A few months ago we started spotting ants in the kitchen (I HATE BUGS) and I refused to use the kitchen so we started trying to kill them, but we couldn't find where they were coming from.
One night Jeff went to put something in the dishwasher ( a rare occurence believe me) and puts his plate inside then closes the dishwasher. A few minutes later I too was cleaning (something I have to do everyday) and opened the dishwasher and seriously almost threw up. In the corner of the dishwasher there was a swarm of ants literally crawling on top of each other. Some of them had wings and some were the size of ear wigs. I looked at Jeff amazed that he hadn't noticed it just a few minutes before when he was putting something in the dishwasher. Needless to say we murdered those suckers and dumped the dishwasher and bought a new one.
A few weeks later I was washing a blanket and it just wouldn't get dry. In the end it actually started smelling like it was burning. Turns out our dryer wasn't working and we overheated it. A few days later Jeff was looking at the dryer and noticed some water on the floor OUR WASHER WAS LEAKING! We went to RC Willey and got a rockin' yet still expensive deal on a washer dryer combo.
Last night I had a horrible night at YW. One of those days where you think 'I don't care about my salvation. I am never coming back'. Well, when I got home Jeff informed me that the disposal that he was supposed to fix was un-fixable. We now have to buy a new one. He had to meet me at my car because when I come home and it's dark he has to turn on the garage light because it's broken and won't automatically turn on when you pull into the garage.
If the lights not on I wouldn't brave our garage, we have an old big screen tv, old bathroom cabinet, old dishwasher, lawn mower and four wheeler not to mention a bunch of random things taking up the places our cars should be.

Did I forget to mention that the shower head in the master bath broke and if you don't position it just right it'll fall and squirt you like a fire hose?
Oh and the jetted tub that is a constant source of H20 for our dog's because of the non-stopping leaky faucet that rowdy climbs the tile to drink out of.
Our bedroom door doesn't lock appropriately. You can still lock it and someone on the other side can't turn the knob, but the second they give it a good shove it comes right open.
My green front door that is a law-suit hazard because of the temperature it reaches during a real sunny day?
The yellow patches of lawn amongst our front yard because the sprinklers don't work (and not becaue of Jeff's lack of trying).
The upstairs microwave handle.
The french door weather stripping.
The unused swamp cooler on the roof.
The broken garage keypad.
The toilet that I have to hold down the handle to flush.

It's been a rough couple of months, but I still love my house and I wouldn't trade owning my home for anything. Hope you got a kick out of my home-owner woes.

HAVE A GREAT DAY!

Almost Summer

When I was called to the Young Women's I thought I had some time before Girls Camp. I was thinking about how I shouldn't stress because I have four months before I even need to start planning. Well it's officially here and unfortunately so is wedding season. Within one week I booked the entire month of June. Let's see if I can keep that up and plan girls camp and work a full time job. I'm going to be pulling out my freaking hair!

(this was the only photo that perfectly expressed how I feel right now)

Easter

I took pictures of the fun goodies I enjoyed making, then forgot my camera when we went to visit family. . . . . .

Long Ago Forgotten

Never once a whisper spring a creeping through the trees
Had oft but wondered why so blind our cold dark winter sees
And if by chance with lovers joined to see the sparkling sky
in clasped hands the river flows and safely drowns the dry
Constant drones of music near will heighten at the peak
causing those to flock among the reckless thing we seek
Lifted senses at their best their knowledge will embark
for love of once again the dreaded winter cold and dark

Nebraska

After that we went bowling where I beat everyone. It was awesome.
We were stuck at the airport for about eight hours because of a tornado. It was lame.
However we were able to get home safely which I am grateful for. It's good.

New Nickname

Who would have thought that even after four years of marriage and being 25 years old I would still wind up where I always do. Playing ball with a bunch of boys. The past few weeks have been awesome because Jeff has started playing basketball at the church. About three weeks ago I was there and ended up playing with them. Now they let me play every night. I even have a new nickname. Every time I shoot the ball they shout 'money!' because I make a lot of 3 point shots. I absolutely love it. I don't know why, but I feel most at home when I am doing stuff like that. Granted I can't play like i used to and they are definitely a lot bigger than me, but they're nice enough to let me play and even fight to have me on their team ;)
So my new nickname with church ball is officially 'money' or as Spence has taken to calling me 'Hizzy' I love that one too.

NINE WORDS WOMEN USE

I'M GUILTY OF THEM ALL! (THANKS APE)

(1) Fine: This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.
(2) Five Minutes: If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.
(3) Nothing: This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothing usually end in fine.
(4) Go Ahead: This is a dare, not permission. Don't Do It!
(5) Loud Sigh: This is actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you about nothing. (Refer back to # 3 for the meaning of nothing.)
(6) That's Okay: This is one of the most dangerous statements a women can make to a man. That's okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.
(7) Thanks: A woman is thanking you, do not question, or faint. Just say you're welcome. (I want to add in a clause here - This is true, unless she says 'Thanks a lot' - that is PURE sarcasm and she is not thanking you at all. DO NOT say 'you're welcome' . that will bring on a 'whatever').
(8) Whatever: Is a woman's way of saying "you'll pay later"
(9) Don't worry about it, I got it: Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking 'What's wrong?' For the woman's response refer to # 3.

What's going on?!

I don't know what my sub concious is trying to tell me, but I have had two dreams this week. Both about Zach Braff and both included him asking me to marry him. I just think this is really weird. It's one thing to dream about the same person, but to have two completely different dreams, but still keep the same theme is very weird. If you don't know who Zack Braff is he's JD from Scrubs!

False Alarm

Last night I thought I saw the Camaro at the gas station. Pretty impossible considering they don't go into production until March. It turned out to be a Dodge Challenger, but I was convinced it was the Camaro for a full minute. I was positive Jeff was wrong. I've posted pictures so you can see the similarities. All I can say is the Challenger was pretty sweet looking as well.

See if you can tell which is which.
